Silage film is nowadays crucial in the process of preparing valuable and nutritious animal feed. When the haylage is wrapped in the film, fermentation processes occurs, without oxygen, that produce the right nutrients in the feed. AgroWrap® is used not only for the preparation of the feed (haylage), but also for storage in an airtight way so that it lasts at least several months.
AgroWrap® is a film produced using the cast method, which is mainly characterized by high puncture resistance. The product stands out from the others by having 7 layers. In addition to puncture resistance, Efekt Plus also focused on such properties as stickiness, which is expected to affect the perfect tightness and hermetic packing of the bale. AgroWrap® haylage film is available in two colors, 500 and is 750 mm wide.
Numerous tests, to which the haylage film has been subjected, have resulted in a product which has the following properties:
- High tear resistance during wrapping
- High puncture resistance, e.g. grass blades, straw or twigs
- UV protection for 12 months
- High stickiness
- 7 layers
